FASA 365 Day 72, L’oeuf Oiseau (lufe wah zo) “Egg Bird”, 3-4 ft or approximately the size of a pelican. Flightless, small wings does not promote flight, even if there are four of them.

Docile, easily domesticated. Discovered by French explorers.

Artists notes: or answers to questions to the artist:

1. Yes, the egg came first. The egg is the first shape almost ALWAYS drawn first in sketching.

2. Yes, it tastes like chicken.

FASA 365 Day 71, Armored Skitter. 1-1.5 ft. Desert Nocturnal, Eats Insect and desert plant roots. The claws can be heard at night Skitting across the desert rocks… hence the name.
Eadible, however its predators are few. First, because the only way to get to the good stuff is from underneath. Second, because turning it over is very difficult.
If it has a chance to cling or dig into something solid. Third, if a predator did get it turned over; the skitters clench over its belly, and or onto the snout of an attacker, like a steel trap.
Artists Note: Is that a nose or a chin…? Someday I will have to decide. What do y’all think?

FASA Creature Concept 365 Challenge Day 69

FASA 365 Day 69, Megalopolis, Walking city, immortal tortoise. (Those who know me, will get the meaning behind that reference.)
The boss wanted “big”. This qualifies, I think.
It eats the refuse and garbage produced by the city. And is fed by those inhabiting the “lower rim” of the city.
Artists Note: I think THIS guy is a creature that could be a reoccurring reference throughout ALL of FASA Game Systems. When young and only a couple of houses are able to be built upon it is in the most ancient timeline game, Advance to the next in the FASA timeline. It’s able to carry a town. Advance the timeline… It’s a city. Until eventually it is found by a futuristic game line… well and truly a dead city… but the same animal just the same.
Whatcha think FASA writers?

FASA 365 Day 68, Cervitaur- Native American myth: a human/deer hybrid that dwells in the forests. White Antlers. Glowing heart, (See Artists Note:)
Artists Note: I have been so focused on creatures of darkness or evil; I realized there can’t be dark creatures without creatures of light. So, I took the Cervitaur and added more to it.
It walks through the forests bathing its surroundings in light. A light that seems to come from its heart. Giving hope to the lost.
